Community RePaint Network Training Events

12/09/2007 Return to news archive

This year we’re holding two Community RePaint training events, in Leeds (Tuesday 30th October) and London (Thursday 8th November). The events are free of charge and will be extremely useful to:

• existing and developing Community RePaint schemes
• any community group thinking of setting up a new scheme
• local authorities or waste management companies wanting to establish a new scheme
• painting and decorating companies/trade/DIY retailers, etc

The events will include presentations and interactive workshops from existing schemes and Resource Futures on

• maximising income from paint reuse
• marketing your scheme to ‘customers’
• successful scheme operations
• making sense of legislation and regulation
• setting up a new scheme

There will also be lunch, refreshments and excellent networking opportunities. Events will be held at:

• Leeds: Oxford Place Centre (10 minutes from Leeds train station)
• London: Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church (Nearest tube: Tottenham Court Road).

Registration is at 9:30am, finishing at 15:30pm. A limited number of travel bursaries are available for one person from operational and developing Community RePaint schemes to attend, on a first-come, first-served basis.

To reserve your place please email Vicky Wren stating which event you would like to attend and if you are interested in a travel bursary (plus estimated travel costs). We look forward to seeing you there!
